THE BASICS
Dining Hall
Eating in Cabot in winter is like dining in a ski lodge, with its curved white windows looking out onto the snowy Quad. While seating is tight and sparse, finding a place is never hard because, after all, who visits the Quad? Food quality is on par with the better Houses, and the servery functions quite well. Especially worthy of mention are its outdoor options, with many chairs and tables outside for those wonderful months of global warming winter.
Sophomore Housing
Sophomore housing is oft shaped like a bowling alley, with numerous rooms connected to a long, straight, hardwood passageway. Cabot folks have a wide range of possibilities, and it’s really up to chance whether the quality is on par with the better parts of the river or slightly higher quality. The Radcliffe girls that once lived their, in general, had quite the life, so any incoming sophomore should be fine. As an upperclassmen, one will gain the perks of even larger rooms shaped less like there should be pins at the end.
Perks
A beautiful view every morning onto the Quad is worth a thousand words, but we shall only give it forty. Cabot offers students a complete basement repertoire, the beloved House Master Jay Harris, and a giant fish costume, without which all Cabot folk would be lost. Perhaps most miraculous is the presence of giant common rooms throughout the house — so many that there is practically more common space than living space in the house.

FROM THE HOCO
Built on a sprawling estate in the 1700’s by a Dutch ancestor of Professor Jay Harris Xavier, the Cabot House School for Gifted Youngsters was originally built from stone on the edge of Breakstone Lake. Over the years, it has been destroyed on several occasions, but each time rebuilt and updated to include advanced technology from the Shi’ar Empire.
Those lucky enough to be admitted enjoy lush, luxurious rooms, beautiful, picturesque greens and the uniquely tight-knit community of their fellow scholars. It is far from uncommon to see wonderful true friends enjoying a sporting romp in the Danger Room, studying together in the many library nooks and crannies, or throwing a delightful ice cream bash in the pony orchard. What fun!
Yes, one has only to speak with the fiercely proud Cabot Fish to understand the profound love, brotherhood, loyalty, and diversity of mutant abilities that runs through the House like a deep underground river full of super-fish
Indeed, Professor Harris Xavier welcomes all under the wings of his hover chair, unless of course you get put in another House. In which case, sucks for you. I hear they all smell like poop.

X-MEN MATCHUP
Rogue
Absorbing the lives of anyone she touches, Rogue is often isolated from her fellow X-Men and has a love-hate relationship with her powers. Similarly, Cabot residents revel in their singles and peaceful dorm life. Still, the quietude and tight-knit atmosphere can get a little isolating.
